Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker Review by Carla Spacher

I absolutely love my new Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker!  I have been using it for the last 2 or 3 months very successfully.  Most of my favorite recipes are right in the recipe book included with the machine.

I originally purchased it so that I can make less fattening ice cream.  Well, that is not going so well!  I try to add more non-fat milk than the recipe calls for by using a little half and half and non-fat milk when whole milk is needed.  It lightens it up a little bit without taking away from the flavor.

I found my Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker online for $70 with free shipping.  A week later I was in Costco and saw it for $50.  Oh well, I do not regret my purchase, as the real good ice cream in the grocery stores cost about $4.00 per pint.  We were starting to spend a bit more money than we ever planned on this stuff.  I can purchase whipping cream or half and half, milk, sugar and cocoa (chocolate is my favorite!) for a lot less, making double the amount, at least.

I also found a sinfully delicious chocolate recipe online that I will share soon.  Check back soon!
