CVS Pharmacy Recommends Green Tea for Allergies

In my research for the best herbal teas for allergies, I discovered that if you have allergies you may be allergic to some herbal teas.  Every site that I found suggesting the best tea for allergy sufferers unanimously suggested Green Tea.  CVS Pharmacy was one of them, (2010), basing their recommendation on a Japan research study in 2002.  See the CVS article and video on allergies Green Tea and Allergy Reactions Benefits and Risks

In 2002, Science Daily posted the results of that study, stating, that one specific compound, methylated epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), worked better to address allergies than the others.

The research was performed on animals and cells, but not on humans.  Though many individuals reported that Green Tea gave them relief with allergies, this was the first evidence in such statements.  See the full article, Green Tea May Fight Allergies.
