Starbucks’ Pastries: “Most” Additive-free, Some Gluten-free Choices

In a personal communication from the Director of the Feingold Association, Jane Hersey, she mentioned that she is thrilled about the additive-free pastries at Starbuck’s.  She also mentioned that she reviewed their ingredients and that most will be approved by the Feingold Association as additive-free, but that some will not.

Best Price on Tinkyada Gluten-free Pastas

I posted Dr. Vikki Petersen’s Gluten-free Goulash Recipe a few days ago.  She suggested using Tinkayada gluten-free pasta spirals.

Tinkyada gluten-free pastas are known for their gourmet quality; having a look and texture of real pasta; and are not mushy.  Tinkyada manufacturers a few varieties that are cholesterol free and the spirals are one of them.  The spirals’ only ingredients are brown rice, rice bran and water.  They are also egg free, milk and casein free, corn free, wheat free, soy free, tree nut free, peanut free, vegetarian, kosher, low sodium, no preservatives added and are 100% organic.  You can check out other varieties at Tinkyada varieties to see what those are free of and contain, but see the link below for the best deal I found. Nonstick French Fry Baking Pan

I just love the idea of saving on calories by making baking french fries.  I found this Nonstick French Fry Screen (actually a baking pan) for only $5.59, regular $7.99.  What a deal!  You don’t even have to turn the fries during baking.  There are perforations in the pan that allow the heat to circulate, allowing browning to occur on all sides.  It measures 15 3/4″ long x 14″ wide x 1 1/4″ high.

My plan was to just purchase the pan, but I found many other inexpensive items that I could not resist.  Check it out!
