Last spring I received a sample of Clinique’s Youth Surge SPF 15 Age Decelerating Moisturizer upon its release. To my delight it really does help facial lines. I’m hooked! It is somewhat like Botox and Restylane. It is best to use Youth Surge right before you apply your foundation, as it appears to have a temporary effect. Though, after using it before bedtime it does seem to prevent lines from forming. I wake up looking more refreshed. Keep using it to prevent new wrinkles from forming. There are several types. See their reviews: “Very Dry“ for dry to very dry skin; ”Dry Combination“ for very dry to dry and dry combination skin; and ”Combination Oily” for oily and very oily skin. I think you will like them. Do-it-yourself microdermabrasion with scotch tape continued
Well, I am back doing the microdermabrasion at home, by the scotch tape method, now on a daily basis. For the last 3 nights I have washed my face with a mild cleanser, (I use Clinique soap), and then use the scotch tape as mentioned in my earlier article, Microdermabrasion with scotch tape – Day 1.
Each day the spots on my skin become lighter. I wish I had taken a photo so that I could show you the difference. The real proof is when I put on my makeup. The spots do not show up as much. This is great for red spots, brown spots and superficial scaring such as acne. Read the rest of this entry »
Microdermabrasion – Day 2
Carla Spacher, here!
Well, actually Day 2 for me was about 3 days after the first day I applied the scotch tape, because it took 2 days for the little soreness to go away. I never felt any pain, but just a little irritation when I washed my face. It actually lightened the spots on my face! I was so excited!
Unfortunately, I did not get around to working my way up to doing it daily for several days. I did, however, do it about a week later. Now it has been several weeks and I applied the tape again the last two night, just in 3 spots. It lightened the spots again. This procedure really works!
In addition, the 2 days that I applied the procedure to my entire face (staying away from under the eyes – skin too thin), my skin looked wonderful!

Microdermabrasion with scotch tape – Day 1
I finally did some resarch on Microdermabrasion using scotch tape. Yes! I found instructions on how to use tape on your face. It is suppose to lighten superficial scars and red spots.
This is what you do:
1. Wash your face with a mild soap or face wash. Do not use anything that will irritate the skin. Read the rest of this entry »
Do-it-yourself microdermabrasion
A couple of weeks ago I was watching Rachael Ray’s show. One of her guests was “The Butt Doctor”. I do not recall his real name, but that is his knickname.
Rachael Ray asked him what the audience and viewers could do themselves to beautify their dairy-air. He said to use scotch tape on your rear and that it would be similar to microdermabrasion.
I have not tried it yet. I wonder if it is safe to use on other parts of your body. I willl research it online and get back to you. Stay tuned!
