Master Gardener on Vegetable Gardening: Carla’s Cooking Radio Show – Feb. 8, 2010

How else can you guarantee what your vegetables contain (or what they do not contain) other than having your own vegetable garden?  Now that would make some really good cooking!  I just had a long conversation with John Killary, a retired Master Gardener.  Wow!  He is full of very insightful information that is so helpful to us laymen.  He has agreed to be my guest on Carla’s Cooking on Monday, February 8, 2010, at 4:30 pm PDT/7:30 pm ED.  I am so excited!  He is very knowledgeable!  I could talk to him for hours, and nearly did just that.

John Killary

He blew me away when he told me that people who are allergic to tomatoes may be able to tolerate yellow tomatoes, as they contain less acid.  Who knew?

I told him that I have wanted a green house for a few years.  He mentioned that the government offers greenhouse grants.  Again, who knew?

John will answer the questions below and more!  Read the rest of this entry »
