Meanwhile, I told my husband that I wanted to try Chef Rob’s recipe for buttermilk biscuits from his 2009 cookbook, “Gluten Free Everyday”, but that I did not have any buttermilk. Biscuits are one of my husband’s favorite foods and he hasn’t had them in quite some time. Needless to say, he ran right out and brought some home. I whipped up a dozen. Let me tell you, neither of us could believe how light they turned out. They had tons of flavor and a great flaky texture. We enjoyed them much more than those gluten hockey pucks I used to make with Bisquick.
